Dr. Patel started her career in Waco at Baylor University where she received a Bachelor of Sciences in Psychology. Dr. Patel then pursued her medical education at Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Worth. She continued her post-graduate training with residency in Internal Medicine at University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston (UTMB), Texas. Following residency, she completed a fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas (UTSW). Dr. Patel is interested in diabetes, weight wellness, osteoporosis as well as thyroid, pituitary, and adrenal disorders.

When not practicing medicine, Dr. Patel enjoys keeping up with a healthy, balanced lifestyle with routine work out sessions, reading, spending time with her family and friends and taking part in volunteer activities as well as cultural activities.
