Petra Grinnell, APRN, FNP-BC, CDE

Petra Grinnell is a native of Germany and came to the United States in 1981. She earned her Associate Degree in Nursing at Bay de Noc Community College in Escanaba Michigan and finished her Baccalaureate in Nursing at Lake Superior State College, Sault Sainte Marie Michigan. After serving in the Army Nurse Corp, Petra and her family decided that San Antonio, Texas is the place to raise their family. Petra has extensive experience in acute care and more than 15 years experience in diabetes. Petra graduated with her Master’s Degree in Nursing from UTHSCSA in 2010 specializing in Family Nurse Practitioner.

Petra’s professional interests are providing holistic care to patients with various endocrine disorders. She believes patients deserve undivided attention to their concerns during their visit and serves as a reliable source of information. Petra is a clinical preceptor for UTHSCSA School of Nursing graduate students. Petra is married and has two adult children. She enjoys reading, cooking, gardening and playing with her dogs.

Joseph Borrego RT (N) ARRT

Joseph Borrego was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas and began working for Endocrinology Nuclear Medicine Associates, PA in May of 1997. Joseph Borrego has two daughters and is married. On his time off he enjoys reading, spending time with his family, exercising, and cheering for our San Antonio Spurs. He is a huge advocate of eating healthy, staying fit, and passing it on to his family as well as his patients.
